ProCarrier Series 200 - Released

ProCarrier v2.09 - This is a free update to all registered users of ProCarrier series 200.  In this update we added:

• Logo Printing.  You can choose to print your logo on customer invoices.  Go to: "Utilities | Setup | File | Setup | Logo".  We include a demo logo for you to try.  Or enter the name of your logo and where you want it printed on the invoice.
• Delivery List Report.  This new version of the delivery list report prints the new series 200 extended delivery note.  The entire contents of the delivery note are printed.  On the customer grid, select: "Reports | Delivery List with Note".
• Current Payments Report.  This new reports prints all current payments.  You can choose to send the report to a MS-Excel worksheet.  On the main screen, select: "Reports | Current Payments".
• Paid Thru Date.  When you add a payment on the "Quick Payment" screen, if the amount is equal to or more than the balance due, the customer's "paid thru" date is updated to the last day of the last billing period.  Check the "Auto-update" box to enable this option.

ProCarrier v2.08 - In this update we added:

• Delete Customers.  You can now delete and remove a customer and all associated tips and transactions from the data files instead of flagging deleted customers and moving them to a separate route.  Deleted customers and transactions are saved in a separate file that you can load into an MS-Excel spreadsheet.
• Speed Keys.  We added speed keys familiar from series 100 to series 200 notably for searching customer records.

ProCarrier v2.07 - In this update we added:

• Collection Groups.  Designate customers as part of a collection/invoice group such as monthly, quarterly, weekly, etc.  Select an individual group for invoice, envelop or label printing - added per user request.

ProCarrier v2.06 - In this update we added:

• The letter and label setups now include six lines for the "return" and "send to" address sections.  If you are using envelopes or labels as invoices this additional line provides more formatting possibilities.  When printing labels you may want to use a smaller font so all six lines fit on the label.
• Invoice printing as pages, envelopes or labels can now be done in reverse order.  Press Ctrl+F to "flip" or toggle the printing order between ascending and descending. 
• Changed the envelop/label substitution keys from %fname% and %lname% to %f_name% and %l_name% to be consistent with the keys used in form letters.  When updating to v2.06 you will have to update your envelope and label setups.

The last version of ProCarrier Series 100 is v1.80.  All new updates will be for Series 200.

ProCarrier Series 200 - Documentation

This release of ProCarrier is fully electronic.  The program can be downloaded from the website and the program user guide is available to registered users only in the form of a PDF file.  

PDF files can be viewed and printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader which can be downloaded from the Adobe website, here.   The PDF version of the manual makes an excellent printed user guide should you choose to make a printed copy. 

Updating to ProCarrier Series 200

These are provisional prices and are subject to change prior to final release.  The planned price for ProCarrier Series 200 is $75.00.  Since this is a new program series, there are upgrade costs for existing users of ProCarrier Series 100, only if you choose to upgrade to Series 200:

1. If you purchased ProCarrier Series 100 after February 1, 2003, you can update to Series 200 at no charge - free.  Users who purchased the program within the last 90 days do not have to pay to upgrade to Series 200.

2. If you purchased ProCarrier Series 100 directly from MKM Software prior to February 1, 2003, the upgrade fee is $55.00.  This offer is valid for 60 days from the release of ProCarrier Series 200 after which the update fee is $75.00. 

3. If you were given a free copy of ProCarrier for Windows Series 100, you can upgrade to ProCarrier Series 200 for the normal purchase price of $75.00.  This group of users have been using ProCarrier for four years for free and receiving free tech support, you will have to purchase the Series 200 version at the full price if you would like to move to series 200.

You can install the new version of ProCarrier in the same folder as your existing version of the program and all your data files are carried forward to the new version.

• Save copies of all your letters from ProCarrier Series 100.  Letters in series 100 are named: LTR_01.RTF through LTR_10.RTF.

• Use Windows Wordpad to open your series 100 letters.  Copy the letter text from each letter to the windows clipboard then paste it into the ProCarrier Series 200 text editor.

• Letter substitution keys use %fname% instead of <fname>. Use the search/replace option on the new ProCarrier text editor to replace all brackets with %%.
